Level up
We are levelling to 21, as per James, DM. This will happen during YCON, (yurt) CON.
Cauldron
Trixie and Smily check out the corner of the cavern, and see a steaming cauldron. A form emerges from the cauldron, claiming to be Vard. "Your existence will no longer be tolerated." He uses a smoldering eye attack on Kynareth and Rhadhar. The battle is on! The cauldron hisses, and a troll appears and attacks Kynareth. Falcon attacks with a Ray of Frost. Vard retaliates, but misses. Kynareth attacks and hits for fire damage. Skelder hits both the troll and Vard. Friar Jim uses Turn Undead, hitting both Vard and the Troll, and pusing them and the cauldron into a nearby creek. Vard is also immoblized as Trixie attacks, bloodying him.
The trolls attack Skelder, dealing some damage, and Falcon returns the favor. Vard shakes off his immobilization and attacks with a baleful eye. However, he does no damage. Kynareth teleports next to Vard, and sends a bolt of lightning at Vard, which misses. However, he then teleports to the trolls, and hits them.
Another troll appears and attacks the bard. Skelder attempts to jump in the cauldron, yelling, "Great deeds require great sacrifices." However, he is pushed away with some psychic damage. Friar Jim releases the power of the sun, killing one troll, damaging all enemies and stunning them as well.
Rhadhar leaps to the attack, but another troll appears from the cauldron and attempts to attack Friar Jim, but accidentally hits another nearby troll. Bo Jangles hits a troll, and Falcon hits as well. Skelder attacks Vard, causing major damage. Friar Jim attacks with Searing Light, blinding Vard. Rhadhar takes advantage, attacking with shrouds. Both trolls attack the bard, and he responds with a dirge of inescapable doom.
Skelder, wanting to get into the cauldron, discovers that we need a scroll to perform a ceremony on the cauldron. We don't seem to have that. Skelder attacks Vard, stuffing his head into the cauldron and killing him. Friar Jim heals Bo Jangles, who uses his Magic Mandolin of Magnificence to discover a door behind us in the cavern, a possible hiding place for the scroll we need. Falcon uses a shock sphere, which misses, fortunately, because he also would have hit some allies. Kynareth also attacks using an area spell, hitting Bo Jangles and Friar Jim. Friar Jim, rattled from the attack, misses. Kynareth is hit by a troll, and retaliates with dual lightning strike, killing 2 trolls. Skelder kills the final troll, and we use the key from Vard on the door.
We find the scroll, and find out how to destroy the cauldron. We destroy the stone cauldron. In the vault we find a life force amulet (worth 1,600,000 gold) +4 magic scale armor, +3 lightning mace, 1,080 gold, jeweled statue worth 2500, 1000 gold emerald and fire opal, and black pearl worth 500. 2 mithril rings (15,000 each). We find Sun Wrath, the sword which we can return to the Baron, who gives us a prize goat from his herd. His name is Kenny. He follows us and carries our load, giving a +1 movement bonus.
Rhadhar gets amulet
Kynareth gets armor
Friar Jim gets the mace
the other 3 get 12000 gold each.
Kenny will be the team goat and mascot.
Onward
After dispatching the Dark Initiate, we sneak into a cavern through the chasm. We see a cat-like creature lying on a bed of straw. Bo Jangles engages in chemical warfare, but the displacer beast endures. It appears to be asleep. The Sorceress Trixie suddenly appears, joining Blue is High on a whim for some entertainment before retiring for the evening. Rhadhar attempts to sneak up to the beast, and gets very close before Skelder yells out "Coup de Grat!" Rhadhar administers poison, and the beast goes limp.
Going around the corner, we are confronted by 3 Ghost Troll Renders. Trixie deals stinky smell damage. Rhadar attacks, and pulls one troll away from the group. Friar Jim gets hit, and then Kynareth damages the other two, then teleports and attacks again. Friar Jim misses, and Falcon attempts a concussive echo, hitting a troll. Kynareth is hit by ongoing necrotic damage. Skelder misses, and Trixie steps up and unleashes an emotional attack on the troll, blooding it. Friar Jim dodges an attack, and Kynareth shifts, and unleashes a flame cyclone, hitting 2 trolls. Rhadhar gets hit, and Friar Jim strikes out weakly, hitting one troll. Trixie finishes off that same troll while one of the remaining trolls hits Kynareth. Skelder hits, but Rhadhar misses. Kynareth hits one troll, knocking it prone. Bo Jangles misses, and Friar Jim hits one troll, healing Kynareth at the same time. Falcon attacks with lightning speed, bloodying the second troll. Skelder kills one troll, and the other hits Bo Jangles and dodges three more attacks, before Falcon conjures an army of snowmen, scaring the troll into retreating.
Full Moon
The full moon rises over the Feywild as Blue is High. Rhadhar has just disappeared from the throne of Skalmad. Skelder's new eye protrudes from his eye socket, a pulsing red gem. The rest of the band follow Rhadhar into what we hope is the Feywild. We reappear again near a crossroads. We see rolling hills and trees, with the ruins of a fortress, and a door beckoning us to enter. We do.
We enter through a small hole, and we find ourselves inside, with a chasm interrupting the path.Bo Jangles does a gonad punch so Rhadhar can teleport across the chasm. Kynareth throws Bo Jangles across, and we follow the path to find pieces of a statue. Friar Jim finds a gem inside the head of the statue. It doesn't seem to be magical, but it looks very similar to the gem in Skeldar's face.
We continue to a crumbling out-building. We are hit with black fire, and a Femorian Dark Initiate comes out of the outpost. Falcon misses her with his Ray of Frost. Kynareth hits her, and she teleports a short distance away. Rhadhar attacks, but misses. She hits most of the party with a gaze, dazing us. Skelder unleases the dancing lightning, hitting her. She looks at Skelder and seems to tremble. Friar Jim hits her with Searing light, blinding her. Kynareth hits her with a spinning kick. She hits several party members with a black flame. Skelder unleashes the smoldering eye, and she shudders. Friar Jim uses Beacon of Hope and begins to heal the party, since several of us are bloodied. Falcon hits with a ranged attack, and Kynareth whiffs with 2 attacks. Rhadhar misses as well. Skelder focuses his eye on the Femorian Dark Initiate, and she falls prone, trembling in fear. We ask about the Cauldron, and she replies, "the Fortress!" We ask again, and she replies, "Vard. King Vard guards it." Worried about her following us, we kill her, and take her guard wages.

The left passage
Kynareth determines that the left passage is closest to the blue jewel. Friar Jim tries to look through the jewel. He sees that Skarmad is looking at Ssark, the battle champion, and there are 3 Impalers and 6 troglodyte Maulers with him. We decide to set a trap. The gnomes get punched, rendering them invisible. The others hide behind some wicker baskets. Skeldor hides inside his treasure chest which is in the middle of the room.
Bo sets up some 80's speakers with an old boombox, trying to stun the creatures with some death metal. The creatures are freaked out, but not stunned. Rhadhar misses with his crossbow, and Falcon uses his shock sphere, but misses. Bo uses his bravery of satire to attack an area with 5 enemies. Friar Jim creates a Blade Barrier in the middle of the room, and pulls Skeldor to safety by him. Kynareth uses Lightning Strider to attack, but misses. A Mauler attackes Kynareth, causing weakness. Every enemy attacks Kynareth, but they all miss, both with melee and javelin. Rhadhar misses his attack, and Falcon misses as well. Bo's kaliope music does not affect the battle champion. Friar Jim lights up the room with Solar Wrath, hitting all enemies. Several enemies move to attack the Friar. He escapes all but one attack. Skeldor attacks, hitting the Maulers, and pulling them into the blade barrier. He then grabs the Friar by the collar, taking him out of the line of fire. Kynareth does some damage, but nothing major. The battle champion pushes Kynareth into another enemy. The bad guys can't seem to hit Kynareth or Rhadhar. Falcon's ray of frost kills one of the Maulers. Bo misses. Friar Jim tosses some acid at the Battle Champion, but misses. The enemy attacks Skeldor, causing some minor damage. Kynareth teleports around, attacking enemies. The battle champion pushes Kynareth into the next room, along with a Mauler. There are 5 bad guys surrounding Kynareth, in a separate room. Falcon misses again, and Bo can't hit either. Friar JIm manages to finish off a Mauler with his Lance of Faith. Skeldor kills the other Mauler.
Kynareth, alone in a room with 5 enemy, uses his Lightning Clash, missing his first attack, but hitting with the second, killing it. Ssark attacks with his club, hitting Kynareth, and tries to bite, but misses. The impaler also misses. Falcon misses his attack, and Bo finishes off the Mauler. Friar Jim hits an Impaler with a flask of acid, injuring him, and Skeldor finishes it off. Kynareth attacks the remaining Impaler, who is injured, It attacks him back, but misses. The Battle Champion attacks Kynareth, finally hitting him. Rhadhar enters the room to help Kynareth and attacks the Battle Champion, putting 2 shrouds on him. Falcon attacks the Battle Champion as well, causing more damage, bloodying him. Bo does some damage, and the Friar throws another flask of acid, but misses again. Skeldor does some damage. The bad guys miss their attacks. Kynareth attacks the Impaler, killing it. Only the battle champion remains. Rhadhar draws the shadows to his dagger, and attacks the Battle Champion, killing him. Rhadhar continues to attack.
The Warren
As we reach the door to the Warren, we smell the scent of woodsmoke, which can't overcome the stench of Maulers and 2 other unidentified creatures, and another in the back of the room we can't see to well.
Skeldor grabs Smiley, invokes winds of change, causing him to hover over the enemy. Smiley's eye beam misses, but Skeldor's winds of change smashes 3 of the Maulers for major damage. He tells us the 2 creatures are Nothic Stalkers. the one in the back is a Kasset controller. We are unimpressed. Falcon hits 2 Maulers with an area burst. Rhadhar seeks out a lone Mauler and misses badly. ( the shadow of the dragon strikes again.) Friar Jim launches a Solar Wrath, hitting all 6 creatures, and heals Skeldor. Bo hits one Mauler, causing it to issue flatulence that causes minor damage to Blue is High. Bo's attack causes major damage. Kynareth uses his Spider's leap to land on the Kasset, attacking with dimensional thunder! Skeldor targets the same target, and hits him and and adjoining Stalker. Falcon drops a fireball powered by his flame wand. It hits all creatures, and several members of Blue is High, including Smiley, who disappears. The Friar hits a stalker, and tries to let Skeldor make a saving throw, which fails. Bo misses. Skeldor, distrat over the loss of his companion, spins into the enemy, missing one, then hitting the second. Yelling "This is for Smiley!", Skeldor manages to kill the other Stalker. The remaining stalker and the Kasset attack Skeldor, hitting him. Skeldor falls to the ground, dead. Rhadhar brings Skeldor back from the edge, although just barely. Kynareth attacks for minimal damage. Friar Jim uses his Healer's Sash (Paragon Tier) to heal Skeldor, then uses Sacred Flame on the remaining stalker, killing it and further healing Skeldor. Kynareth uses Unicorn touch on Skeldor, causing some consternation. Bo tries to insult the Kasset, but Falcon finishes him off. The room falls silent. We search the bodies. We find nothing of interest. There is a bag in the corner. It contains 700 gold, 4 fine emeralds (250) +3 wand of fireburst, +3 phasing longbow.
The Troll Haunt
Blue is High starts to ease on down the road. Around sunset we arrive at the Trollmaw. It looks like there might be some movement behind a gate. Smiley hovers over to the gate and sees 3 warren trolls. BoJangles tries to talk to them. 3 Impalers emerge from the cave, and look at him. BoJangles takes out his harmonica and plays a troll lullaby. Skeldor is muttering to Rhadhar behind the gnome. The lullaby doesn't work. We ready our weapons.
Falcon uses scorching burst, hitting 2 creatures. Rhadhar takes on a lone troll, but misses. Kynareth attacks a warren troll, with his blade, missing everything. Friar Jim hits a troll, and BoJangles uses cutting words on the same troll. Several trolls begin flanking Kynareth. Falcon attacks one of them, weakening one. Kynareth teleports away from the group. A troll attacks Falcon, but does no damage. Friar Jim uses Solar Wrath, hitting 5 of the enemy, bloodying one. Rhadhar attacks the bloodied troll. Kynareth bloodies another troll. 3 of the creatures attack Kynareth. Friar hits one troll with his Lance of Faith. Bo glances at another troll, causing him to go cross-eyed, and bloodies him. Skeldor targets 3 creatures with a whirlwind, killing one. Smiley shoots an eye ray at one bloodied troll, causing minor damage. Falcon drops a shock sphere on another 3 creatures, killing one outright, and shocking the other 2. Rhadhar tries an attack, but fails miserably. (It seems the shadow of a dragon blocked the attack?) Kynareth's attack misses. Friar Jim hits again, but doesn't do much damage. Bo misses his attack, and Skeldor steps up with his dagger, sparks flying. He kills the first, but trips on the way to the other, and gets bitten. Falcon kills one troll with a concussive echo. Rhadhar attacks the remaining troll, hitting it. Kynareth attacks with the green flamed blade. Friar Jim hits, as does Bo. Skeldor gets hit with a javelin thrown by the Impaler in the door. He responds with a lightening bolt, bloodying him. He spins around to attack the remaining troll, but trips on a pinecone. Falcon hits the troll, killing him.
There is a lull in the action. We hear raspy voices in the doorway. We attack.
Back to Moonstair
Blue is High regroups in Moonstair to decide their next move. The Cloudwatch Inn is where we meet, with a menu of either sausage and potatoes, veggies and rice, or boiled cowhead. Beverages include water, beer, or a bong hit. After a filling meal with great service, we decide to search for Skalmad while we wait for the next full moon to appear.
Nanarb is not with the group, since he decided to spend time in the tinker's shop to learn some new skills. Ravenex takes off with 2 creatures of indeterminate gender, an awkward undertaking. Falcon, however, has suddenly appeared to rejoin the group, and tells some tales of his spirit journey.
We head West into the troll haunt. BoJangles leads us away from the thick undergrowth, and we end up lost. Skeldor launches a whirlwind which helps clear away some of the mist. We trudge on for a bit more. Our feet are getting wet. BoJangles begins taking out a large alpine horn, which immediately begins to disintegrate. ("Hope is not a strategy" DM) BoJangles gets on Skeldor's treasure chest, and blows the horn, trying to clear the mist away. It partially clears, and we can see another rise in the terrain, which looks "interesting."
We find a half sunken road of stone blocks. It leads to a tall standing stone carved with runes. Skeldor reads the runes, which are in troll. It marks the territory of Vard, first king of Vardar. Friar Jim remembers that what used to be called Vardar is now called the Troll Haunt. We made it.

Moonstair
Blue is High decides to head to Moonstair. We head to the Cloudwatch Inn. We learn that where the 2 rivers come together, there is a small island. During a full moon, a portal opens to the fey-wild through the Moondoor on the island.
THe next morning we go with Juwall to deliver the journal to Mayor Kalana. SHe comes over to thank Blue is High for their help. Bo Jangles bows embarrassingly low to her. She barely nods back.
She explains that Vardar is the area inhabited by trolls. Skalmad is the troll chief. He has found Moran's Eye, which he used to replace one of his own eyes. Rumor has it that there may be another door to the fey-wild, in the Stone Warren. He may also have discovered the Stone Cauldron, and he has the ancestor's sword.
We decide to head back to the Troll Haunt to look for the Warren.
Part 4
Bo Jangles heals the injured man. He is a messenger, who was attacked by trolls. It turns out we are in the Troll Haunt. He offers a shortcut to Moonstair, and heads off the road on a path. Rhadhar notices that all is not right with his story. Skeldor misses an attack on him, and we are attacked by 5 mercenaries, and the messenger tries to run off. Rhadhar hits him and it turns out that it's the Omnimage.
Out of nowhere, an orange arrow comes out of the darkness heading toward the Omnimage. It hits him, bloodying him. (E power) The Friar uses Solar Wrath on the 5 mercenaries, followed by an orange sword from the darkness. Nanarb hits the Omnimage with a Vampiric arrow, and Skeldor benefits from the healing of the arrow. Rhadhar kills one mercenary. Ravenex misses his attack, and Skeldor takes on the Omnimage again, damaging him. Bo Jangles plays some speed metal towards the Mage, causing some more damage. Rhadhar kills one mercenary. Nanarb targets the Omnimage, and finally kills him. Juwall attacks one of the three remaining mercenaries, but misses. Ravenex and Skeldor finish off one with straightforward attacks. Bo Jangles and Ravenex target another mercenary, killing him. There is one very injured mercenary left. Bo Jangles interrogates him, and then stabs him in the head.
We find a leather courier bag. There is a message inside. It mentions how the troll king has an ancestral sword, which he got from the son of the leader of Moonstair. The message is from the mayor of Moonstair, Kollana
Blue is High has to decide whether to continue to Moonstair, return to the city we just left, or look for the troll king.
Part 3
2 days out of Moonstair, we top a rise and see 5 trolls tearing up a horse. There is a body nearby, and something else we can't identify. We decide to attack. Skeldor drops a whirlwind in the middle of the trolls, but is misses, and they are aware of our presence. Nanarbfires an arrow at the mysterious figure which turns out to be an Onmi Mage, stunning him.
After Rhadhar's turn, the Omnimage disappears, causing a commotion. Ravenex fires, hitting 3 trolls. Bo Jangles misses his attack. The Friar makes a wall of spinning blades in front of his comrades. Skeldor's move hits with his lightning, which fizzles out after the first hit. Nanarb fires his bow. We can hear a man calling in pain from the direction the trolls came from. Rhadhar pulls one troll into the blade barrier, killing it. Ravenex takes on 2 trolls, bloodying one. (Welcome to Paragon Tier, Michael!)
Bo Jangles. The Omnimage appears next to the Friar, and attacks with lightning. The Friar takes the damage and disappears. Skeldor uses his lightning attack, bloodying one troll, killing the 2nd, and misses the Omnimage. Two trolls attempt to jump the blade barrier, but hit it instead for damage. Nanarb attacks the Omnimage, but misses. The Omnimage disappears again. Rhadhar hurts one troll, and Ravenex targets the other two, bloodying both. Bo Jangles plays his harpsichord, putting a deathmark on one target.killing him. Friar Jim starts heading for the hurt man calling for help, but then sees another person near the prone body. Skeldor shocks one troll, and then jumps off his chest, landing on the other troll, and jumping for the troll's ear. After Nanarb's attack, the two trolls are prone. Rhadhar kills one troll, and Juwell kills the remaining troll There is no sign of the Omnimage. We head over to check out the hurt man.
Moonstair part 2
Juwall takes us to the stables, where he provides us with mounts, although the gnomes are made to ride with someone else, which is totally unfair.
The associate introduces himself to Skeldor. His name is Kundus, and he is manly. He has not heard of us, so we relay the tales of our deeds. He was paid for his blade by Juwall.
While sitting around the campfire, Bo Jangles unloads the daily, Hideous Laughter, into the night. Two wolves pay the price for his mirth.
We end the 2nd night around the campfire, where a discussion about who will be on watch. The assassin, Rhadhar will be on watch first. He notices that Kundas is not at the fire.
Suddenly, the sleeping group is surrounded by the mercenaries from the bar in Winterhaven. Fortunately, we are able to get on our feet without significant bloodshed.
Rhadhar starts the counterattack. Friar Jim uses Solar Wrath, hitting all the mercenaries for damage. Nanarb takes off his belt, releasing spinning tops. His pants threaten to drop, but the tops attack the nearest 2 mercs, bloodying them. Ravenex makes his move, getting ready for the next move. Skeldor attacks his target's ears with lightning, killing him, and the one next to him. The lightning jumps to the third guy, killing him before finally missing the 4th. There is much rejoicing. Bo Jangles uses his Visions of Doom, (on Steve!). Steve dies, still mistified as to how Bo knows his name. Juwall kills the final mercenary with his dagger.
Kurdus, who is dead, no longer looks like Fabio. Juwall shakes his head, realizing that kurdus is most likely a doppelganger.
We find 3k gold, various weapons, but no tats.
Apparently, the doppelganger was after something that Juwall is carrying to Moonstair. Bo Jangles asks him what that thing is. Juwall shows us something wrapped in cloth. It is a diary of an ancestor of Kollana Dor, the mayor of the town we are heading for.
Moonstair
Juwall approaches Blue is High while they are drinking special brews. He wants us to help him travel to Moonstair. It would be about 15 days of travel, and he offers 2k gold. We keep drinking.
There is another group of mercenaries in the bar. Rhadhar wants more money from Juwall, who lets him know that the mercenaries have money.
Friar Jim buys the mercenaries a round, and asks about what they can tell us about Juwall. They complain about the travel, and Rhadhar overhears someone talking about trust. We buy a round of Seagull wine, and offer them the freedom of the skies outside for a possible ambush. They don't come out with us.
Rhadhar slips some weak poison in one of their drinks. They leave.
Blue is High waits outside the Inn for Juwall and his associate to come out.

Priest is on vacation?
Friar Jim and Earthbreaker are resting in a faraway land. Sensing adventure in the wind, the Friar casts a spell of seeking on a nearby slot machine, er, tankard of ale. However, the fortunes of his comrades are hidden to him. He is unsure if this is due to a weakness of skill, or the quality of ale...

The haunting, phase 2
It seems that Rolen is actually an evil version of Dorian Gray. There is a picture of an old friend which looks like it has lived a long life.
We must travel to different rooms to reprint the paintings, in order to kill the evil traitor, Rolen.
Skeldor tries to paint over the portrait. He uses his angel feather, but wastes it. The picture is untouched. Kyraneth, struggling to stay awake, starts running for more paint, as does the Friar.
A gelatonous cube enters the room, freaking out Blue is High. Skeldor uses a daily power, hitting the cube, and Smiley also hits the cube with a fire beam.
Rolen grabs the painting and runs. Skelton manages to transport out of the cube, but is injured. Friar Jim and kyraneth run back to help out Skeldor.
The friar grabs the painting from Rolen, who then tries to grab it back. Kyraneth grabs the painting from the Friar and leaps down the stairs to the door. The friar puts a blade barrier between the cube and Blue is High. He then heals Skeldor. Rolen summons a purple worm who attacks kyraneth, and eats him.
Rolen, realizing that the painting is losing paint inside the worm, commands the worm to regurgitate the painting along with Kyraneth.
Skeldor continues working on the cube. Kyraneth tries to explode the worm from the inside with a creative spell idea, but fails.
Skeldor throws his spider at the cube, which kills it. Kyraneth grabs the painting, and throws it to Friar Jim, who heads to the gallery. Unfortunately, a dragon, summoned by Rolen, appears in the room with Skeldor and the friar. Skeldor teleports to the gallery, and tries to paint the painting. He fails, but Smiley manages to paint it for the second time.
Rolen destroys the paint in the collapsed room, and then rides the purple worm upstairs.
Skeldor uses his winds of change and blows the dragon off the balcony. Luckily the companions manage to hold on.
Friar Jim runs to the gallery and manages to put the last coat of paint on the painting, reverting Rolen back to normal. We discover that the painting is worth $80,000 gold. We quickly leave the house.
Where is the healer?
Friar Jim enters the game room, and is approached by a ghost lady wearing Civil War era clothing. He is transported upstairs. He explores a room, and finds an operating room. Nothing happens. The others travel to join him upstairs. The friar opens a charred room, and finds a spear which feels mighty.
Rolen finds and organ room. There are three men hanging in the room. He feels dumber and weaker.
Skeldor enters the store room. He finds an angel feather. Kyraneth opens the chapel door, and walks inside. He sees himself in the mirror, his reflection is him from another time. He gives the image the vial through the mirror.
Friar Jim enters the balcony and finds a spirit board. The house shakes again, but we continue exploring.
Rolen goes into the gallery, and finds a girl, which makes him feel smart and strong.
But then, the house shakes, and the haunt begins.
New room
Kyraneth enters a mystic elevator, and finds a battered ring.
Friar Jim enters a collapsed room, and surprises everyone by not falling into the basement.
Rolen walks into a graveyard, which causes all of us to lose health.
Skeldor finds the dining room, which contains a zombie mad man. His attack increases, but sanity takes a hit.
Kyraneth finds a bloody room, with a cyclops. A big cyclops. A mean cyclops. Who hits him.
Rolen comes running to help, and manages to give him a flesh wound.
Friar Jim sends a ball of searing light at the eyeball of the cyclops, and blinds him for a bit.
Skeldor comes with his familiar, Smiley, and dragging the mad man zombie along.
Kyraneth jumps onto the cyclop's back, and kills him. He finds a vial.
Searching for loot
Smiley is unable to see through the keyhole, so we walk into a ballroom.
There is a locked safe. Skeldor tries to open the safe. We take damage when we fail to open the safe. Rolen tries another room, and ends up scared stiff.
Skeldor enters another room, and a large spider jumps on him. He tries to brush it off. He fails. But then he traps it in his treasure chest. Friar Jim opens the safe, and earns 2 item cards.
Skeldor enters another room. There is a crystal ball. The house shakes a bit, and things start to get interesting.
No bones about it
In our weakened condition, our attacks are having trouble hitting. Rolen finally hits for first damage. The skeletons can't hit much either. All of a sudden, Skeldor runs up to join us! He looks grumpy, like he needs to get something off his chest. His first attack uses lightning, and he kills one skeleton. Friar Jim hits the remaining skeleton and gives Skeldor some hit points to try and cheer him up. Rolen is rolling well, and the skeleton continues to miss. Skeldor kills the remaining skeleton. And then pulls out a mini beholder, Smiley.
And so it begins...
Things get dark, and then we have to share some personal information with the DM. Our speed gets halved, along with our wisdom and constitution. Then 2 skeletons jump out at us. We feel weak...
After Winterhaven...
As a registered 501(c)3 adventuring band, we move on to the next adventure...with Rolen, our new ranger.
We see a decrepit old house, the sign says, "come in if you want loot." Kyranath kicks the door in.

Nothing is sure but Death and...
An attempt at semi-live blogging ensues...
Blue is High is summoned to the Ruby Palace by Cometh to pay an overdue tax bill. After a tense moment, we are sent to kill the Copper Dragon to return the Egg of Bahamet to Winterhaven. A completion will result in the tax bill being forgiven. We were given a scroll to be used only "when all else is darkness" or in our hour of greatest need. We are sent to the Lair of the Dragon, and are told that we must pass through roaring mouth of the beast.
The first battle is against 3 orcs. There was a 4th orc but he was banished to Pluto by the Wizard Trixie (the cheat). The new tank, Eironson, is critically hit twice, and has 7 hit points left before the orc attacking him is killed by the Hammer and Anvil attack. We roll a dead orc into the ring of stones, nothing happens.
Eironson imbues several weapons with a power and attack bonus. The bard gets a one time +4 bonus.
We find a waterfall, and go through it to find Clandank being attacked by an orc. Clandank is down to 4 HP before the orc is killed.
A perception check shows a pile of glittering loot, and what looks like the dragon egg we are searching for. After a perception check, our group is hit by an acid attack. A copper dragon attacks!
Rhadhar jumps onto the dragon's back. Friar Jim can't seem to hit anything. Clandank rolls a natural 20 using his Gorilla Gloves. The dragon is prone, but we can't take it out before it stands up. Another acid attack hits 3 of us for half damage. Friar Jim finally gets the Beacon of Hope to work, creating an area of healing around himself. The Copper Dragon flies up into the air, hovering and waiting.
BoJangles, hanging behind the group, rolls his vagabond die, and lightning comes out of nowhere to strike the dragon. Blue is High is getting tired with continued attacks on the dragon with don't seem to be making much of an impact, other than several ongoing damage. Fatigue leads to missed attacks, but Bojangles allows us to try again, with positive results. The dragon attacks with acid again, and then again, rendering Friar Jim and Clandank close to unconsciousness. Eironson hits the copper dragon while it is hovering, and it falls dead to the ground.
Rhadhar carves 31 scales from the dragon to sell. The dragon's horde contains 2,750 gold, 8473 silver, 17,300 copper. A scroll comes out of the dragon, and we realize that the dragon was good, and we did Cometh's dirty work for him.
It seems that this is our darkest hour, so we open the scroll given to us, and we use it on the copper dragon, and resurrect it. Bojangles informs the dragon that it owes Blue is High a Wookie Life Debt. The dragon is impressed, and offers them a ride to attack Cometh. Then he notices that his scales are gone.
We fly to Winterhaven, to confront Cometh in the Ruby Palace. sergeant Arack turns on Cometh. Cometh offers Rhadhar the opportunity to join him, but Rhadhar backstabs him instead. The dragon takes a bite of Cometh, and Eironson stabs him. Cometh fights back. Friar Jim misses, and Bojangles does too. Sargeant Arack hits his former boss. Rhadhar twists the knife, causing a black tear to slowly fall down Cometh's cheek. The dragon bites again, and Cometh is surrounded by Blue is High. Cometh tries to entice Rhadhar to join him again, and nearly kills him. He rubs the dark tear against Rhadhar, killing him. Friar Jim strikes Cometh, and offers a saving throw to Rhadhar, who does not save. The bard misses, but Clandank tries for the coup de grat. His horned helm hits Cometh, killing him while still in an embrace with Rhadhar. Rhadhar manages to keep from slipping into death. We quickly heal him.
We find the tax bill, for 680,900 gold. Somehow the bill is lost forever, and as the dragon flies away, he says, "that is how you act as a paragonic tier."

I will post several polls over the next few weeks to get your feedback on our campaign so far. Some examples:
- What is working, what is not working?
- Where would your characters like to go next?
- Any preferences on how they should all die? (Or, maybe I will decide that one.)
- To pay your taxes... or not.

A Perfect 10!
Our small group's name is Blue is High!
When faced with a choice, roll the die.
We're on level 10,
Then we'll go fight again.
Now I'm wondering what I should buy.
